Green-lipped mussel powder (Perna canaliculus) is a unique species of mussel found in the marine waters of New Zealand. These Green-lipped mussels are a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) glucosamine, chondroitin, amino acids but also contains minerals and vitamins.

Omega 3 fatty acids (especially EPA and DHA) can inhibit inflammation . In addition, GAGs, glucosamine and chondroitin are raw materials for building joint cartilage and production of synovial fluid (the lubricant of the joints).
